LiquidSmooth ROM for Galaxy S4 mini (LTE and 3G)

LiquidSmooth is another aftermarket firmware just like CyanogenMod, Paranoid, PAC and others, based on the Android Open Source Project.

The rom is based off the latest Android version 4.4.2 KitKat and offers excellent performance, a wide amount of customization options and a pleasant user experience. The custom rom for now is only available for the GT-I9190 and GT-I9195 models of the Galaxy S4 mini. As of now there are only two builds available to download and the rom seems stable enough for daily use.

In this firmware, you will find some features that might seem familiar to you such as the OmniSwitch (from the OmniROM), Pie Control, and some others.

Installation:

  1. Download the rom zip file according to your model from the above download link to your sdcard (be sure to pick the build with the latest date as it is the newest)
  2. Download the Gapps package in order to have Google apps
  3. Power off your phone, boot into CWM Recovery by holding Volume up + Home + Power keys simultaneously
  4. Choose wipe data
  5. Choose install zip
  6. Choose choose zip from /storage/sdcard/1/ (choose zip from external sdcard for older recoveries)
  7. Choose the rom zip file then choose Yes to confirm
  8. After rom has been installed, again choose choose zip from /storage/sdcard/1/ (choose zip from external sdcard for older recoveries)
  9. This time flash the gapps zip file
  10. After you are done, go back and choose reboot system now
